Why Next Level Communication?

I joined Next Level Communication because I felt strong values-based alignment with the founding team. I had been contributing from the periphery since the company’s inception. When the time came, and the timing was right, I leapt at the chance.

Tell us about your personal communication journey.

I grew up as a third-culture kid and have lived in six countries on four continents.

Although I am proficient in Mandarin and attended a French-speaking middle school, languages are not a particular talent or passion of mine. I believe the biggest barriers to effective communication are rather insufficient empathy and lack of cultural literacy. The development of these skills has been both pleasurable and enriching in my life.

Over the years I have evolved to become a natural mediator and a willing risk-taker. These serve as continuous pathways of growth in my life.

What are your interests outside of work?

I am a competitive chess player and a lover of all form and manner of sporting endeavors.

What is something about you that people may not know?

I failed Calculus 1 in my first semester of university despite acing Calculus 2 and linear algebra while in high school.

What are some growth or learning goals that you are working on?

I have recently become a first-time parent. Have you ever tried operating one of those milk bottle sterilization machines?

I will be compensating for deficiencies in my home economics education for years to come.
